Automatic extinguishing SAPFIR LOCO on ASP114

Autonomous fire extinguishing of ASP114 TSS GRADE a.s

Total number of extinguishing modules: 2 pieces of MPH-5T and 2 pieces of MPH-5T-2 (extinguishing engine)
Total number of automatic temperature sensors: 1x TPS-TC-93 + 1x TPS-TC-110
Total number of special temperature sensor relays: 1x TPS-03TC-140 (extinguishing engine)

On September 23, 2024 - a fully functional automatic fire extinguishing system was installed

The Sapfir Loco autonomous extinguishing system consists of three separate extinguishing zones. Each one

In addition to the automatic temperature sensor, the extinguishing zone also has the option of remote manual start. Since the locomotive space is completely open on both sides and there can be a large leakage of radiant heat in the event of a fire in the wind, a delayed reaction of the temperature sensor may occur due to late heating of the sensitive element on the sensor. Therefore, a console was placed in both cabins with the option of manually starting the extinguishing system by the operator of the submersible.

The Sapfir Loko autonomous extinguishing system consists of the following separate extinguishing zones: Here you can find a video manual for operating manual extinguishing = https://youtu.be/m0VSQuVXx3k

1st tank extinguishing zone = YELLOW button (N – tank)

Temperature sensor TPS-01TC-110 is an electric generator. pulse (0.5 A) which, when the temperature-sensitive element is activated (after exceeding 110°C), creates an electric pulse to activate the extinguishing module MPH – 5T with a fire extinguishing capacity of 100m3! At the same time, it switches on a parallel alarm line that triggers an alarm on all beacons (a total of 2 beacons on the consoles in the cabins and 2 on the tank extinguishing and hydraulic extinguishing zone). On every alarm system, it is possible to turn off the alarm with the button on the front. The guaranteed functionality of the system is 12 years, subject to compliance with regular 6 monthly inspection services.

!!!WARNING!!!

If you press the yellow button marked N on the console, you will start the manual extinguishing of the tank!

2nd tank extinguishing zone = Blue button (M – engine)

Temperature sensor TPS-03TC-140 je passive relay that, after exceeding the critical temperature of 140 °C, switches on the circuit (9V source) to activate both fire extinguishing modules of the engine 2x MPH – 5T-2 with a total extinguishing capacity of 200 m3!

The fire extinguishing modules are located on the right and left side of the engine and with their 360° shot of fire extinguishing powder they extinguish the entire right and left side of the interior of the locomotive. So is the space under the locomotive. The guaranteed functionality of the system is 5 years, subject to compliance with regular 6 monthly inspection services. The service life is reduced to 5 years due to the high radiant temperature and vibrations from the motor. If the regular 6-month revision check detects the functionality of the gas generator (in the range of 12-30 OHM), the extinguishing module will continue to be functional and ready to extinguish.

!!!WARNING!!!

If you press the BLUE button marked M on the console, you will start manual extinguishing of the tank!

3rd tank extinguishing zone = GREEN button (H – hydraulic distribution)

Temperature sensor TPS-01TC-93 is an electric generator. pulse (0.5 A) which, when the temperature-sensitive element is activated (after exceeding 93°C), creates an electric pulse to activate the extinguishing module.

MPH – 5T with extinguishing capacity of 100m3!

On 23/09/2024

The SAPFIR LOCO automatic extinguishing system was handed over to extinguish the locomotive ASP114.

The 12-year warranty for the entire system starts from the day the system is handed over to use. Every 6 months, a physical inspection of the entire STOP-FIRE-SAPFIR system will take place. The guaranteed service life of Sapfir extinguishing systems is 5 and 12 years in the event that regular 6-monthly inspections of the system are carried out. And if manual damage to the extinguishing modules is not detected.
